Bello Christoper Scoubhar. 2022, Teaching Speaking Using Role Play Technique at Class XI Multimedia of SMK Negeri 1 Sepauk in The Academic Year 2021/2022. Thesis, English Language Education Study Program of STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa, Advisor I: Sijono, M. Pd., Advisor II: Henry Elisa, M. Pd. Keywords: teaching, teaching speaking, role play The aim of this research is to increase the students’ participation in learning English and the students’ speaking skill by using role play technique. This research uses Classroom Action Research design. Based on the problems that have been found, in this research using role play technique in helping the problems faced by students. This research includes cycle 1 and cycle 2. Based on the results of the implementation of the role play technique, in cycle 1, the results were 60 for speaking skill and for participation, the were 67%. In cycle 2, the results were 78 for the ability of speaking and the participation, the results were 80%. Based on the results that have been obtained, the teaching of speaking using role playing techniques has been successfully implemented.
