Faleria Messi Anggrini. 2025, Improving Students’ Learning Motivation By Using Wordwall Media Of Eighth Grade At SMPN 01 Menukung. Thesis, English Language Education Study Program. STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa Sintang. Advisior I: Yokie Prasetya Dharma, M.Pd.B.I, Advisior II: Ilinawati, M.Pd. Keyword : Improving, learning motivation and Wordwall This research is carried out to improve students' learning motivation, while also encouraging their participation and engagement in the learning process. The aim is to improve student participation, engagement, and understanding in learning English by using Wordwall as a supporting media. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and student tests. In the first cycle, student participation showed fairly good results however, there were still aspects that needed improvement, such as behavior, engagement, and understanding in the teaching and learning process. In the second cycle, student participation increased, and the average test results also showed progress. Students demonstrated higher enthusiasm and good behavior in learning. The results of the research indicate an increase in student motivation and participation, with student engagement improving from the initial cycle to the second cycle. This shows that the application of the Wordwall game technique in this method is successful in improving student motivation and engagement in the eighth grade at SMPN 01 Menukung. By using Wordwall media, it can be concluded that this media is capable of increasing student motivation in learning. This research emphasizes the importance of innovative teaching methods, such as interactive media and educational games, which make the learning experience more enjoyable. This approach encourages students to engage in a more interactive and dynamic learning process, creating a positive learning atmosphere. The hope of this research is that students would enjoy learning English more and have a pleasant experience, motivating them to learn further in English language learning and encouraging teachers to be more creative in teaching and utilizing technology in the learning process.
