Agustina Lita, 2021. An Analysis of Children's Literacy Ability in Kindergarten B Mutiara Hati, Desa Lengkenat , 2021/2022 Academic Year. Thesis. Early Childhood Teacher Education Study Program of STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa Sintang,. Advisor I: Suryameng, M.Pd, Advisor II: Adpriyadi, M.Pd. Keywords: Literacy Ability, Early Childhood This research aimed (1) to describe early childhood literacy skills, (2) to describe factors that influence early childhood literacy skills, and (3) to describe what efforts need to be made to overcome barriers to early childhood literacy skills. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative in the form of descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques in the form of observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation. Milles Huberman's data analysis consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that (1) children's literacy skills in Kindergarten B Mutiara Hati, Desa Lengkenat, had begun to develop but still needed to be guided again. (2) factors that affect children's literacy skills are influenced by two factors, namely: internal factors and external factors, internal factors, namely from the child's self, and external factors, namely the family environment and lack of reading books. (3) efforts that need to be made to overcome barriers to children's literacy skills using several methods, namely: storytelling method, singing method, method of playing literacy dice game, method of playing the letter social gathering game, and method of playing letter card game. So, the conclusion is that children's literacy skills in Kindergarten B Mutiara Hati, Desa Lengkenat have begun to develop.
