Ayu Sartika Vera. 2023. The Effectiveness Of Behavior Thearapeutic Using Music For Speaking Anxiety At Eleven Grade In SMK Amaliyah Sekadau. English Language Education Study Program STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa Sintang. Advisor I : Yokie Prasetya Dharma, M.Pd. B.I. Advisor II :Henry Elisa M.Pd Key words : anxiety, music, speaking, test, therapy This research aims to find out how students' anxiety is, as well as identify the factors that cause speaking anxiety and find strategies to reduce it. And this research is it is not yet known how many students experience anxiety when facing the speaking test by the teacher, the anxiety of students that appears before taking the speaking test is not known, the re asons why students feel upset stomach cramps, quiveling mouth, and urinating before taking the speaking test, not knowing the effect of music therapy on students' anxiety before taking the speaking test. This research aims to determine the effect of music therapy on anxiety before conducting a speaking test at SMK Amaliyah Sekadau. This research uses a quasi experimental research method. Anxiety was measured using a Likert Scale. This research data analysis uses descriptive analysis, normality test with Kolmogrov-Smirov Test, homogeneity test is sought using Levene test, followed by t-test to determine the difference in the application of cognitive behavior therapy method using music in the treatment group on anxiety. The results showed that the final score on the pretest for the treatment group was 92.2 with a high category which means that students have anxiety when going to do a speaking test in front of the class due to lack of confidence and preparation that causes anxiety. While the posttest in the treatment group was 59.6 with a moderate anxiety category, which means that students get a decrease in anxiety after getting treatment using the cognitive behavior therapy using music method. The results of the t-test analysis show that the p value is 0.173 <0.05, this means that there is a significant difference in music therapy between the treatment groups on anxiety before doing speaking activities in front of the class at SMK Amaliyah Sekadau. This study concluded that cognitive behavioral therapy using music can reduce students' speaking anxiety at SMK Amaliyah Sekadau.
