Abstract

The problem of this research is: "How Effectiveness of Problem Based Learning
Model in Optimizing Critical Thinking Skills and Learning Outcomes Students" 1) Is the
problem-based learning model is effective in optimizing student learning outcomes? 2) Is the
problem-based learning model is effective in optimizing students' critical thinking 3.) Are
there differences in the results of learning and critical thinking skills students use problembased learning model compared with not using problem-based learning model? The purpose
of this study to analyze the results of learning and critical thinking skills used or not used
after learning model. Quasy experimental research methods, research form the post-test only
design. Data collection techniques of indirect communication techniques and documentary
studies. Questionnaire data collection tool and sheet notes. Data processing techniques t test.
The results showed the results of Learning and critical thinking skills after use models with
an average value of learning outcomes 66.27, and the average value of critical thinking skills
71.18. While that does not use a problem-based learning model average value of learning
outcomes 57.49, and the average value of critical thinking skills 61.76.
