Abstract

In 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic, as the cause of the global recession, forced people to limit their activities by
staying at home so that transmission could be minimized. One of the sectors that were affected was education. In
the Indonesian context, the threat of a recession due to the COVID pandemic has also occurred. When the
COVID pandemic was high in Indonesia, the government issued a large-scale restriction policy which had an
impact on the economic collapse because there was no good economic cycle. Due to the threat of a recession this
study aims to evaluate the threat of an economic recession in Indonesia in relation to the educational aspect. The
educational aspect is evaluated from student achievement. This study used an evaluation method with the case of
STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa. This study concludes that the educational process at STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa
is still going well even though students are under threat of an economic recession caused by COVID-19. It's just
that student achievement is still low.
