Abstract

The problem in this research is "Whether modeling the way method in fraction
material can improve the students learning outcome in IV grade at SDN 15 SP 3 Pandan.
The aim of this research is to determine of increasing student learning outcomes through
modeling the way method of fractionmaterial in IV grade at SDN 15 SP 3 Pandan. The
approach of research is quantitative. Descriptive method is used in this research with a
form of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles, each
cycle include four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this
research are the IV grade students of SDN 15 SP 3 Pandan. Data collection techniques
used is observation, measurement, and indirect communication, with data collection tools
are: that observation sheets, test, and questionnaires. The results showed that: (1)
Activities of student learning on first cycle is 70,62% (good category) and the second cycle
is 90,15% (the excellent category) the improvementis 19,53%. (2) Complete classical
learning outcomes of students in the first cycle is 84% (good category), while learning
outcomes in the second cycle is 96% (good category) therefore the improvement is 12%.
(3) The students response to the application of modeling the way method obtained a
percentage total is 91,44% with very strong category. Application of modeling the way the
method in fraction material of IV grade at SDN 15 SP 3 Pandan can improve student
learning outcomes.
